If you've ever looked at the butterflies with the tab hitting the stopper, your butterflies are at a slight angle. If you bend the tab or shave the stopper, you can get the butterfly to be absolutely flat in your throttle body. But that isn't what actually gives you the gain, as such a small difference in the butterfly angle isn't going to really do anything. What actually gives you the gain is the difference in the Throttle Position Sensor. By allowing the extra degree(s) of movement in the throttle body linkage, you allow the TPS that same amount of movement. The TPS is a potentiometer that affects the ECU. It is THAT voltage difference that gives you the difference in power. BEND the TAB. DO NOT shave the stopper. You can't re-build the stopper. You can always bend the tab back.
