Message	here so... (By the way, you may get better response in the tech forum). Is this the clearance between the valve and the rocker arm? If so, 50thou seems like a bit much. Most of those clearances are about 12thou (on other cars at least), so where/how are you taking the measurements? Even motorcycles, albeit different animals, have 2-6 or 8thou clearances. Maybe I am misunderstanding what clearance you are referring to.
