Message in which case it doesn't matter which way the slots go.

I mentioned in my post that the correct rotor direction is based on the internal cooling vanes (for curved vane rotors,) but slotted rotors with curved vanes should still be designed to have the outer edge of the slot contact the pad first.

Here is Baer's write-up on this. They discuss both curved vane rotors and non-curved, and say that the outer edge of the slot should contact the pad first in either type of rotor. This allows the slots to transfer the pad material and gases out of the rotor, instead of to the inner part of the rotor.

Here's what Brembo says about it (from http://www.precisionbrakescompany.com/brembo_faq.asp#31) - especially note the second paragraph:

A curved vane disc must be installed with the vanes running back from the inside to outside diameters in the direction of rotation. Orienting the disc in the manner creates a centrifugal pump. The rotation of the disc causes air to be pumped from the center of the disc, through the vanes, and out through the outside diameter of the disc. This greatly enhances the disc's ability to dissipate heat.

Additionally, all of Brembo's slotted discs are directional as well, regardless of the vane geometry. The discs should be installed such that the end of the slot nearest the outer edge of the disc contacts the pad first.

So Seedy's rotors are either on backwards or designed to have the slot oriented incorrectly.
