my kid brother has a 98 Pathfinder with 92k on it.it developed an exhaust leak.well,a friend at a muffler shop told him that it was leaking from the exhaust manifold.i had a friend in a dealership run the warrantee printout for me and it showed that the exhaust manifolds were covered to 2006 or 100 k.so,i told little brother to take his truck to the dealer and let them fix it.
well,little brother calls me and tells me that they told him that the warrantee ran out at 70 k.so he asks them how much the manifold would cost.they quoted him a price of $1400 per side.
i was pissed.i went down to the dealership and showed them my printout.they kept asking,"where did you get this from?" and my response was,"fix the damn truck!".
well,they fixed it.brand spanking new manifolds.i also called Nissan USA and asked them why this dealership refuse to service little brother's truck,why did they lie to him and treat him like he was stupid...was it his age?and why the hell do exhaust manifolds cost $2800+ for the set?anyways,i hope Nissan USA has some stones.
