Message I'll actually post some pictures from a 3 part upgrade I did over the last couple weeks. First we have some new Stillen intercoolers to replace the stockers.

Here is what the driver's side looked like before:

After (no more carbon canister, stock overflow tank, etc)

And onto the foglight ducts. These are the new ones from CPARK @ Powertrix, which I'm happy with. I ended up totally removing the foglights with housings (4.5 lbs weight savings by the way :D ), and tried a few different ways of ducting from the back of the fog duct to the intercooler duct. Here was my first attempt with something called "Flex-elbow" which is actually made for gutters and downspouts, but after taking a hairdryer to one end I softened the plastic to fit perfectly around the end of the foglight duct.

Here it is in fitment phase:

Would have worked really well, but I just couldn't get the correct angle once the fascia was installed. Black paint/primer also wasn't sticking to it very well. I ended up using something else which I'll show later.

Here's the intercoolers with holes for the new ducts (inner holes):

I struggled to think of a way the new CF ducts would attach to the fascia and actually stay in (they are under a bit of pressure once everything is installed). I wanted to use a more permanent epoxy, but dry time was just too long to put back together in one day. I ended up using hot melt glue (messy, ugly, but pretty strong once cooled). I used a lot of it to make sure they wouldn't come out. I ran out of black sticks for parts you might see through the other side, which is why you see a colorful few lumps. You'll also see the black flexible rubber ducting I found at my work which I attached to the CF duct with super heavy duty tape called "Shurtape".

Here's the backside which you don't see normally:

And the front, uninstalled:

And finally everything installed and put back together:

I'm not sure if there would be a measureable difference now with the extra airflow... I guess I could tell this Saturday when I go drag racing (although these would probably work better for longer duration road racing where there's more of a chance of heatsoak). All I know is that the last time at the dragstrip with the new intercoolers and 155 lbs removed, I trapped consistently 4-5 mph higher and my ET's dropped 3 to 5 tenths with the same 60' time compared to any other run I've made in the past. This was without the new ducts, so maybe I'll pick up a little more mph or something. From what I can tell, there's at least half again as much air entering each intercooler (one thing I don't like is how Stillen designed their ducts... they sit too high up so you only utilize two of the three slots on each side). These new ducts help ensure equal airflow across the entire core.

I also repainted my trunk this weekend. Here is a quick before shot (I had a stereo sub box in there that the guy fiberglassed right to the trunk. Really a pain to remove and left it scraped and dented up).

Masked, sanded, prepped and ready for paint:

After some primer and paint (Plasti-Kote Auto Trunk paint in black with white speckle):

Came out pretty well in my opinion. Looks even better once the interior is all put back in. That's it for now. :)
