Message RC Engineering is using stock Nissan injectors and boring them out to flow 555cc. The reason they are cheaper is because they use the stock injectors as a core and you have to return your stock injectors after you install the RC's. RC Engineering has been doing fuel injectors for over 30 years and flow tests every injector before it leaves their shop. They make injectors for cars that run in SCCA, IMSA, and NHRA and I bet some of the cars that Steve Millen has driven have had RC Engineering do something to the injectors. Even Jim Wolf sends his injectors to RC Engineering for flow testing before he ships them out. The project Z in Sport Compact Car talks about how they sent them to RC Engineering for flow testing before they were installed. Now I don't know about you but I would much rather pay $1000 to a company that has 30 years worth of injector experience than $1200+ to an aftermaket manufactorer that seems to be on backorder more than they are shipping. If you guys are worried about the fact that the RC injectors are used injectors bored out to flow 555cc then I guess none of you will be buying TEC, Turbonetics, Texas Turbo, or JWT turbos because those are all stock turbos bored out to be bigger turbos :-). I don't think Nismo makes a turbo either so I guess you will be S.O.L. unless you buy Greddy or HKS turbos......Good luck.

Post from POPS on Bad Nismo 555's:

BETTER. I recently bought brand NEW Nismo 555cc injectors. And, I have had several problems with getting my car to run. So, I have taken my car to Kyle (SGP) to have him troubleshoot the car, as well as make sure that I did everything as it should be. And, this is what was found: ONE of the six *NEW* injectors was stuck WIDE OPEN. And the other FIVE were dirty, or simply (NISMO) FULL of $hit. And, the killer part is that NISMO does not offer ANY kind of warrantee with there injectors. So, basically... They are new, but if you have a problem with them, then you are on your own. SO, to answer ones curiosity of which is better. Well, as you can see. NEW, does not necessarily mean that the product is better. BUT, seeing that MOST people think the old "American Way", and would buy NEW, simply because of the WORD *NEW*. Then, hopefully this will help you make your final decision... But, if I were to do this again. I would definitely go with the RC Engineering upgrade, for the simple fact of the process they practice, as well as perform on there products!!! BUT, for those that are in denial, and will continue to proceed with the, "American Way", well... Keep a little extra cash around to have YOUR new product tested/cleaned/checked, before installation...
