Message Its just like having a big azz wing on your car, thats also open invatation.

But I disagree on the "higher off ground will give longer front protection". In theory, most people think that the higher the radar detector mount, the "better" signal pick up I mean why not cause the higher the radio antenna the better signal pick. The radar detector doesnt work like your radio.

2nd, theres all talks of hiding the detector so cops dont see it or so it doesnt get stolen, etc, etc. It makes me think why "those people" even get a radar detector in the 1st place and hide it/mount it in locations that doesnt get a low clear open road view. Are you NOT serious about getting the best possible protection versus the other factors?? Why anyone would mount a detector anywhere but the middle lower portion of the windshield is beyond me. The power cord can be wired through and behind one of the air vents within our Z.

Also, in regards to your "I personally like upper left hand corner, hidden by the OEM tint strip", a quote from my actual manual: "Mount Passport away from windshield wipers, other solid objects, and heavily tinted areas that might obstruct the radar atenna or laser lens."

If youre serious in radar detection, forget about all the open invatation by cops or theft, but rather give the radar detector its BEST viewing opprotunity to do its job otherwise youre be wasting your money.

Quote from a buyer sent to me in email dated 12/3/2003: "I bet it really ticks them off when they find out some "NOOB" got the turbos before they did! Oh well, if ya snooze ya loose."
