the review was written in 2002, on a 1994 car. his vehicle was atleast 9 years old (1994 being sold in 1993).
that being said, if he had to put two feet on the brakes to slow the car, then he simply had no vacuum assist.again, simple maintenence would have found that the check valve was probably inopperative :Here's maintenance you talked about, even said by the pro's.

:Should add, a good set of tires greatly ad in braking or slowing the car down as well. Sure you know this too, but I'm starting to feel that if I don;t write a book, people misunderstand.
I apologize If I took anything out of context from your post. I just see a lot of folks dissing the brakes, when in reality they are quite good.
