Message	dielectric grease does not "clean" the terminals at all. It simply prevents clean terminals from attracting moisture and corroding. They do make electrical connector cleaner, I bought some at Radio Shack. All you do is spray it on, leaves no residue. For heavy deposits, you can use a tiny, tiny piece of sandpaper folded over the edge of a #1 flat-head abd sand the terminal.
