I'd like to thank everyone who participated in the hardpipe group buy. I met a lot of cool tt.net members, both in person and through (lots) of back-and-forth emails.

Not a bad turnout, really. Here is the breakdown:

-Approximately 130 of the members expressed interest in purchasing a HP kit via responses on tt.net.
-I received over 80 "I'll buy" emails while I was making posts about "gauging interest". To that, I fabbed up approximately 100 kits.
-I received 43 $10 deposits, of which only one was sacrificed
-Two members "sent checks" that were never received, and their orders were cancelled
-0 kits were misdelivered, although 2 were stamped with the same tracking number, making for utter confusion until delivery
-Five kits went to International destinations: 4 to Canada and 1 to Australia
-Two kits were donated: One to ClubZ for their raffle (congrats to Dan G (member TTwomp) on your free kit (thank James Yang, actually, who gave it to Dan after winning the raffle, but already had installed his kit), and one to Rob (Killstick510) for his Z-car Garage shop
-An unnamed member *cough, Seedy, cough* backed out - punk... ;) I have your kit whenever you are ready
-I still have a kit for George once he is ready for it

Moral of the story: GBs can be fun, but also a lot of work. Expect about 50% of the members to actually act and come through on their intents for those gauging interest in future GBs. Get organized, and overstock. Working with multiple vendors for parts (couplers and clamps in particular for this GB) can be exhausting, as you wait for parts, backordered shipping, etc. Be friendly with your shipping company of choice, they can make or break your transactions. Network with people at every possible instance (club meets, gym parking lot, wherever) - some contacted me without a tt.net contact - kudos to those of you who shared this on other forums or with other locals.

I'd also like to thank ClubZ again for allowing me "the stage" at their last ClubZ track event to introduce myself and show the products. Hey - it sold SactoTodd! :)

Thanks again not only for your business, but also for your trust and feedback on the kits. We'll see what we can fab up next.

Regards,
Scott
