| Nissan was/is a leader in making cars profitably. When the articles were being written about the tremendous debt load on Nissan...other articles were also written about how Nissan rulled the industry in regards to lowest manufacturing costs to produce their cars. Also, while Nissan was faced with the difficult decisions to drop the 300ZX to improve profits...other auto manufacturers were doing the same thing with their high-end sports cars...it was a industry trend to get rid of sports cars it seems to me ...due to changing market demand. The market/sales demand caused the demise of the Z32...and who is responsible for those type of market condition changes???? I think my biggest concern/disappointment with the changes at Nissan was the partnership with Renault. I've never considered Renault much of a car here in the North American market and felt the partnership could really screw up Nissan... and change the Japanese quality that we typically see with autos from Japan. I guess I am saying that Nissan did the best it could under the changing market conditions...no apology is needed or expected. Regards, Jim
