| Ever diddled a cheap vaccuum line (Pepboys/Autozone/etc) with a very thin wall that was heated by engine bay temps? I've seen small vaccuum lines (yellow of course) collapse on the dyno at idle. The thicker wall is required to aid in thermal stability (preventing the hose from getting TOO soft), and prevent collapsing. This is not only a valid point, it is inarguable. It is impossible to prove that a thick wall silicon tube is NOT more desirable then a thin walled cheap silicon tube.
