Message	that the power dissipated in the diode is limited by external circuitry... It seems either this diode has some type of physical problem (wear, structural issue), etc, or something else in the circuit is having a problem, causing this diode to take on more voltage. Recall, in the breakdown region, current increases reapidly with only a small increase in voltage.
