Message	washers with a metallic backing when you mount up the extra portions to the chromed plating. I have seen a bunch of guys get plenums and intakes chromed and just screw their bolts and pieces in and crack the plating. If you get the washers this usually won't happen. Washers run about $.32 a piece, I highly recommend adding before you attach your brackets and what not.
