Message	ow. Now, have a friend in the front seat toss a handfull of sand out his window at about 85 mph. Now imagine shooting that sand a LOT faster and more concentrated at a dirty piece of metal. It's kind of like avrasive cleaners like Comet. Also why gojo orange has pummice flakes in it. The arbrasives literally scrape the dirt and scum off the surfaces.
