Message	speak to Swain's White Lightening. It is not a cosmetic coating, and has a white chaulky appearance, but is designed for function (see their web site for the claims in regards to temp. performance). I've coated an exhaust manifold and turbo housing on another(older) turbo Z and it has held up for a number of years, other than turning a darker color. Good luck, Mark
