1) set up date with the track. Also, get cost for the day and see what their policy is on insurance. Note- some places do require a deposit. 2) make sure you have enough volunteers to help with the events and are experienced. Folks for staging, officials, timeslip guys, etc. 3) make a list of all the extras you'll need. Example- Walkie talkies, cones, timing watches, fire extenquishers, etc. 4) flyers with directions and dates/times if you plan on inviting others.
