| The artistic design of the Z absolutely demands a visual 'lift' on the back of the car, aka wing. Don't listen to the wingless nutcases. Nissan spoliers: 90-93 (the 'low' ones you talk about, aka ducktail), 94+ (the F-body look-alike), and J-spec 99 (or whatever year, looks like any generic spoiler pretty much). None of the Nissan spoilers look too bad, although the 94+ from some angles does look frighteningly like the T/A spoiler. To me, the 90-93+ are the most at-home looking spoilers on the Z, and are more unique to the car. However, they aren't made anymore, and you really can't find many good used ones b/c they are made of a crappy foam stuff that deteriorates badly. There has been some recent interest in getting a urethane mold made to make more durable 90-93 copies. If this opportunity does come up, and the wings are worth a damn, this would be your best bet, IMO. J-spec looks pretty nice...but kind of resembles something you'd find on the back of a camry or accord. A little too pedestrian and generic for some. As for aftermarket spoilers, there aren't many I like. The most widely accepted one is probably the 'kaminari', which is a 90-93 style spoiler on steroids. From the side it looks okay, but from the back it's pretty rediculously ugly, in my most humble opinion.
F40 and Supra style wings are frowned upon, and for good reason; ya don't own an F40 or a Supra, and your car wasn't styled in a remotely similar manner as either of those. Just doesn't work. Kaminari and wings west make some other kinds I believe, that work with certain other body mods. Peruse the 'rides' section and find one you like. Hope this helped- Rob
