Message Yeah, I used to street race every single weekend. An ass load of people would meet up behind the Miller Brewery in Ft Worth and we`d have the whole road to ourselves. We raced there for a long time without incident. We`d just haul ass when the cops came. Imports were rare and it got to be a 5.0 mustang shootout every week. Well, after a couple of years business grew and so did traffic on the road. One saturday night a guy I knew was doing something really stupid in the wrong direction in a Grand National, and some drunk woman pulled out in front of him, totalling both cars but no one died. Over the next couple of years the scene grew, and every new place we found got shut down. But we always found some out of the way segment of road that no one used that late at night. We thought we were justified.
Now there is a memorial on the side of the road for a guy we knew as Big Lee. He didn`t hit anyone, but he`s dead now. He had a tire blow out as he hit the No2, and since he was 300lbs plus he was thrown from the car when his 5pt harness ripped from the floorboard.

The point? Racing is dangerous no matter where it`s done, but at least take the risk on your own lives. Race at an organized location where there are emergency personell to save your ass if you wreck. And these little fucks that are impressed by a 13 second quarter mile time want to zoom around in there rice rockets and kill someone, they deserve the lifetime of guilt that comes with that.
Do I speed sometimes? Sure, a little. Do I consider that if I act like a jackass with something to prove I could kill someone and afect my life as well as some other entire family`s life forever? Every time I get in my car. Peace.
