Message owning an automatic, I say go for it man. With that many miles, you do need to check for the 120K service and adjust accordingly. Also, at the 120K, some things are going bad that people don't usually check like idler pulleys and such. Also a complete fuel/hose check would be nice if you can get in there.

As for the automatic, I never thought I'd be able to deal with it. My NA was auto, but I wanted a 5-speed SO damn bad. With me, however, I've been okay with the automatic on the TT so far. The car is quick as hell and I can drive it daily and enjoy it...and that is enough for me right now. I also enjoy being able to successfully drag it. For some that might not be enough and I totally understand that. In my case, I may end up getting either a 240 for a track car or even maybe a Mini since I'm blown away by those cars. In either case, it will be a manual gearbox. The Z is up in the air. Depending upon when/what I do with my turbo upgrade, I might swap to a 5-speed, I might not.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do and do a carfax.com report on it before buying!
