i have heard that changing a faild egr valve will add some performance/responsive ness, but its not easy to reach. I have been wanting to change my egr valve but the the thing is so far behind the engine, and with all those hoses above it. My question is is it possible to change the egr valve with the engine still in, the faq shows it with the engine out and i have attempted many times to reach everything. Would it just be easyer to get a egr bypass? would it have the same power gains? how difficult would it be to pass smog? OR if its better to just change the egr valve is there any advice i can get to installing it with the engine in. maybe just some replys from people who have done it would help and tell me what tools and size they used. thnx for all your help.
