| Are these going to be meant at 100% race rear ends? If not the TT makes more than enough power to drop 5th gear below 1 so you get a little better highway gas mileage. Racing you almost never see 5th until well over 100mph. And if you shift out at redline in 4th, you are still going to put yourself in 5th gear's power curve. I have an NA, not a TT so what you do doesn't make a difference to me, but my 4th and 5th gears turn have a 500rpm difference, which means 5th could effectively be lowered to around a .9:1. If you take 4th gear up to redline while racing and shift into 5th, that will still put you up pretty high on the rpms in 5th with a .9:1 final drive ratio anyway. Just an idea, why not make it faster off the line and give it better highway mileage at the same time? Those long trips suck when you're getting under 20mpg.
