problems are the worst because the doctor cant say what is exactly wrong. Most of our general logic comes from if something happens its because it has a reason. Its like psoriasis we know how it happens but we are not clear on what causes it. In your case chances could be possible that it may be genetics (but if you family has never had a family hx then that puts us back to square one.) I heard a story of some one who went into renel failure for no apparnet reason. Never had a family hx, no renel disease in the past and so the MD marked it off as idipathic. Turns out the MD kept digging for more clues. The who had gone into renel failure played alot of golf for many years. Turns out he had a bad habit of licking his golf balls before placing them on tee. Well that lead to the fact that the people who took care of the lawn placed down pesticides on the gras so everytime he would lick the golf ball he was infact ingesting very minute amounts of pesticides. Over a 15 year period of time the MD believes now that it was his ritual of licking the golf balls every time he placed it on the tee that caused his renel failure. With your case you may have to back track some and jot down anything that you have done for a considerable period of time for the past 10-20 years perhaps that will help you and the MD shed some light on what is causing your condition.
