| I've been around here a long time like many others that are still here as well. You can clearly, clearly pick out the negative ones on here. They reply 80% of the time to insult, belittle or just be rude, then 10% Hijack your post with their opinion that has nothing to do with your post, 5% post whore look at me, 5% helpful at some point. But most always, always never Post their own post. Here's a true email I got from one of the most insightful, helpful person's that only lurks here nowadays. I got this morning and I showed it to another long time member this morning as well just based on the turbo information, because I'm buying my Turbo's. Sure you can pick out the part that sticks for this post. Jerry,
Hey long time no email huh!!?? How are you bro??? I saw your posts on tt.net. I lurk around but I rarely post anymore. Too much fighting and bad mouthing for me on tt.net. I know of Quest, they still build some cool drag cars. I know Escort Racing and Fuji Dynamics make manifolds for the HKS GT3037S turbos. Escort Racing who built the fastest street legal drag Z ( 9.8 sec on Nitto 555R's) made manifolds that placed the turbos in front of the engine - you may have seen pics of this before. I don't know where Fuji Dynamics places the turbos, but I do know they have a drag car (that hasn't run yet to my knowledge) with the turbos mounted above the engine. Lets talk turbos :-) Now considering that the GT3037S's are based on a .60 a/r Garrett T04E compressor housing, they should fit with Pentroof manifolds - which btw look just like the mani's on Quest's site. People have used the Pentroof mani's with the GT2835's in the stock location, and Z1's Peacemaker uses the Turbo Boss manifolds with the GT2835's in the stock location. GT2835's use a .50 a/r T04E compressor, so the GT3037S's are only a tad larger and should fit in the stock location. However..... I have done quite a bit of research on the Garrett equivalents and there are two GT30R's that I know of. One uses a .60 a/r T04E compressor, and another uses a .70 a/r T04S compressor. The T04S compressor is huge and will probably not fit in the stock location. Btw, if you are pretty much decided on the .60 a/r T04E GT30R, you should also check out the GT37 here: [ http://www.atpturbo.com/root/maps/gt37.htm ] It has almost identical specs to the GT30R but it is much cheaper. You have to ask for the smaller a/r exhaust housing with this turbo. If you are ready to buy turbos within the next 48hrs I may be able to save you some money. I am doing a group buy right now on Garretts and I am getting very low pricing. I know 48hrs is short notice... sorry. Let me know. Warm Regards, The clear and simple fix for this. Admin. and mediators delete all post and reply's that they see is going to start a bash or insulting, clear and simple. Next have like 4/5 more monitors on the forum. People that have been around a long time and can be fair and unbiased and just look out for the welfare of the forum. That way the forum is covered more during the day and night. If it goes unpoliced, then it becomes out of control. Theres a big differance between ones opinion and one just posting clear BS.
