Message Longtime members could do a little more with being open minded to noobs. But at the same time I understand where they are coming from and think they act unruly at times out of sheer boredom.

New members need to not feel like they have to just come on here and jump in the middle of everything. Doesn't have anything to do with how much you know or don't know. They should just sit back and get a feel for the forum first. Post when they need to. And of course search first!

I've been coming here for a year or so, and rarely post. I am still learning and feeling my way around the Z. Whereas on my Honda forum (please YugoB don't bash!) I post all the time because I've been driving them for 15yrs!

So until some kind of happy medium can exist between old members being more open minded and new members being more conservative, we'll probably continue to have this problem. I am considering a sticky on my other forum of a How to survive xxx.org 101 for new members. Maybe something to consider here.

I always brag about tt.net on other car forums for its absolute top notch technical section. Some of you IT guys may have heard of it, but a place I like to brag about for the absolute best forum etiquette is a dalantech.com. These guys are really friendly and go out of their way to help new and old alike.
