Okay guys - help me make a decision. I bent my #3 rod, as documented in my post from Sunday night. I am now having a difficult time deciding between buying a set of Eagle H-beams, or just buying one OEM rod to replace the banana formerly known as my #3 connecting rod. Having a set of 6 new rods will give me some peace of mind, but at the same time, I am curious if the Eagles are really any stouter than the stockers. I have seen ads for the Eagle rods in some places that say "capable of up to 600HP" - I'm pretty sure that our stockers are good for that and more. What should I do? Pistons will be here in the next week, then I need to take the block to the machinist. I don't have any long-term goals of running huge turbos, but have considered the possibility of installing a nitrous kit down the road for occasional spurts of ~600WHP or less. Thanks for your opinions!
