Message at low speeds, certainly not. And by 'low' I mean any speed you'd ever legally or safely drive at on an interstate.

going 150-160 mph, nearing redline in 5th gear...that might not be good for an extended period.

In general, constant rpm/load is no problem for an engine. It's the quickly varying rpm/load found in city driving and road racing that is hard for it.
