Message	:close ratio gears are for a narrow power band, not nessicarly a high rpm one. Z32 stock manual trans will not shift effectively at higher RPMs. Guess how I know? I have an 8k limit. And I have gone through multiple trannies. At 8500rpm I promise you its not going to shift. Its a bottleneck for high reving motors. Maybe you can show me someone with that kind of rev limit on stock trans? Yes close ratio gears are primarily for narrow power band(which is what he has anyway). They are also almost mandatory these days for especially high revving motors. It makes sense to me; smaller gears have to spin faster than wider ones. --------------------------------------------------------------
