As many of you know, I have the TD06-20G Pentroof kit on my Z. The car is dead below 5000 but my 7:1 compression doesn't help either. I have 8:1 pistons with 2.0mm headgaskets. I will be swapping my headgaskets to thinner units but not sure on which size to go. I was thinking about getting 1.0mm units to bump my compression to a healthy 9:1. I know it will help spool these big turbos and make the car more fun to drive on the street. Now, if I go to 9:1 compression, I won't be able to run high boost with 94 octane and will need race gas if I want to turn up the wick. I was told 18psi on a 7:1 engine and 18psi on a 9:1 engine is not the same. What is your take on this and what would you guys recommend for my setup? Major Engine Mods: Td06-20 turbos, Tomei 270 high lifts cams with solid lifters(8500rpm limit), Border 850cc kit along with a racel fuel setup, 4.5" vertical bar and plate intercooler and supporting mods. PS: A lot of you guys will tell me to get Sport 500's etc. but I really cant go back to that route since I have spent way too much $ on my current setup.
