I just got word from the body shop that my car is at that the insurance may try to total it out! I spoke with the appraiser and he said it may, it may not, he still is crunching the numbers. Anyway, he said Texas law states you dont get a salvage title on a vehicle onb over 7 years in age. This didnt make sense to me, but maybe it is true. He made it seem, that even if the insurance made it a total loss, I would still have a clean title. Does this make sense to anyone who knows Texas law. The appraiser was really cool, I told him I would take less money or whatever to keep the car from being a salvage title. That is when he said I would not have a salvage title even if he had to total it out. Your info on this matter is appreciated. Oh and the reason the estimate is soo high, they took my hatch cover, broke a t-top, ruined my spoiler tyring to pry it off. The spoiler alone is quoted at $800! Anyway, they get everything from Nissan and you know how expensive that gets. They also tryed breaking in through the side glass windows. So when they did this they broke the pieces that Ash got in trouble for yesterday. Anyway, this is becoming a nightmare, I just dont want my car totaled!
