| This is a great example of why spark plug reach is important. It'd be great if someone with a spare TT head lying around could show from the inside what the HKS vs NGK reach was. The NGK from the pictures has a much longer reach than the HKS or the Bosche. It'd be interesting to see a Bosche TT plug for comparison (if they make one). It's great to see the engineering that NGK offers it's clients. Plugs with long reach in the past always had the problem of threading that extended into the combustion chamber. The exposed threading created hot spots (re preignition) and often built up carbon deposits. These carbon deposits often resulted in stripped threads when the plug was pulled. The NGK has a nice non-threaded section which won't build up carbon or act as a hot spot. I doubt that the Bosche plug of the same reach and length would have this design.
