Any turbo car will be affected by mismatching motor speed and gear speed and turbo's with a bigger A/R will take much longer to build boost off that driver error ( key word ). But putting the car in a correct gear will help eliminate this issue, even in Auto's. Oh and I read your post again, where do you say from a stop?
