Message to me, it's equalled or eclipsed by something that isn't good? My car started for the first time sicne Noember 21st tdoay. On 5 cylinders... Check compression, 60 psi. Regap spark plugs, put a little oil in the cylinder up to a little over 100 psi, but it's firing now. So we think that the plug wasn't firing, causing fuel to wash down the cylinder walls dropping the compression. OK, no big deal. Next...
Rev the engine a little, get all the fluids moving around, hear rod knock....
It's not bad, all the guys here think I won't have to actually worry about it for a while, but it will need to be done sometime relatively soon. So the $11k I just spent getting everything fixed (I'll post the list when I get home tonight, just so you understand all the stuff I did), wasn't good enough. I exhausted all the money I could to do this, and now I'll need to come up with another ~$2k to fix this at some point. I still love the car, and it's going to rock when I take it out of here, but until I get that fixed, I can't play like I want to.
On top of this, probably $500 of the total cost was spent replacing power steering leaks... only to find one MAJOR one right in front of the engine (most likely was a dried out hose and removing the engine did it in). OK, not too bad, lets pop a new one on... but we don't have that one in stock. GRRRRR.

Sorry guys, just had to vent a little.
