If you are looking for a bargain, pick up an S-13 HB. The car is lighter than the coupe and slightly stiffer. The best to be had is the SE with HICAS as it came with a VLSD. With that said HB or Coupe if you are getting an S-13 go with a 91-93 as they have the DOHC KA24DE. This will make the installation of a SR20DET much easier, particularly in terms of air conditioning. I've owned 2 S-13's, both were HB's. My first was a 1990 SOHC HB, that we installed a red top SR20DET into, that was back in 1998/99 so it was a real hack job. No A/C, spliced harness etc... Things have come along way since then. If you want a truely unique looking car, get a HB and do a Sil-Eighty conversion. Thats installing the Silvia front clip exterior pieces. It really does give the car a cool look. Even nicer than that, but $$$ is to install a S-15 front end on the S-13 HB. The down side to a HB is that the spoiler on the back is total crap on a stick. Its made out of foam, and WILL or HAS ROTTED, which rusts out the bolts into the hatch lid. This causes leaking, and often you have a swimming pool in the spare tire well, w/out even knowing it. If you do get a HB, caulk the spoiler to prevent further moisture seepage. If you have the money, go with a coupe. There is a lot less room but there are no leaking spoiler issues. If you have any questions feel free to email me or IM me.
