Chains through windshields is a common problem. 3. On open carrier, your insurance is the primary. They will only pay up to $250 of YOUR deductable if there's a claim. 4. Their drivers just don't give a shit. Well, some do, some don't. I'm not willing to take the risk that I got the wrong one. 5. Summertime is their busy season. They hire any yoyo with a CDL and "train" them for 3 days before putting them out on the road. See point 4. Their enclosed trucks use wheelstraps (much better). Obviously the enclosed truck protects the car more from the elements. Their insurance *should* cover any damages. At least that's how it was 3 yrs ago.
