Message see how fast I can get her to go.

Customer's cars aren't done the same. We typically like to get 600-800 miles on them before taking them to the dyno to make sure the rings have seated and to get a few changes of oil through them. Break-in period, in MY mind is more a matter of making sure that over the course of 1000 miles or so that there are no problems. With the time it takes to get 1000 miles on them, if a hose is loose or a bolt isn't tight, you will certainly find it within that time frame if you are checking things every 100 miles during that time
(as you should).

After 300 miles, the rings are totally seated. NOTHING else in the engine 'breaks in', it simply starts 'wearing-out'. The rings seating is the most important part of break-in as it maximizes the engine's ability to make power.

But I would tell you to heed to the 1000 mile, three oil change, light and variable loading/speed break-in, check it every 100 miles break-in procedure.
