And I frikkin like the black strip. So style wise, from my unbiased and perfectly objective point-of-view, the 90-91's were the best. Reliability-wise, I'd say 94-96 (less trouble-prone injectors, no head-machining problems that some 90's had, and they usually were better taken care of and have less miles to begin with). Performance-wise, 90-95 are all about the same. (96 had reduced output). Overall, the Z32 changed comparatively little (as compared to most other cars with a 6 yr production run), and with an amount of work, any Z can be customized to include the desirable features from the different model yrs. So there's not a really good answer to your Q. Sorry...any Z that was well taken care of is a fine sports car.
