I've been going threw a lot of the pro shop on line sites just checking out all the parts for our Z's and the Supra's. Now with these two cars putting out the same displacement ( factory 3000cc ) and already knowing that the Supra internals have a higher power rating at upto 700rwhp ( maybe higher ) than the Z at 600wrhp or so. It all comes down to parts out on the market for the two cars. Now looking just at turbo's for the cars. Here's where it's easy why the Supra is so far ahead of the Z. That has everybody saying it's the best import beast on the road. Here's a list of just a few turbo up grades for the two cars. I know theres many more. but you get the picture. At the choices we have and they have.List is only turbo in the high Hp range: Z tt: Greddy TD05h----- 800hp max 16g & 18g Blitz twin K27----?? anybody know about this kit? BIG $$$$ JWT 650----- 650 or so hp HKS GT2530---- 600rwhp Super T/28---- 650hp Supra: HKS T04R ---- 650wrhp HKS T51RKAI -- 700rwhp KHS 2835GT --- 750rwhp HKS T51R ---- 800rwhp Greddy T78 --- 675wrhp Greddy T88 --- 750wrhp Turbonetics T66-- 700wrhp Turbonetics T70-- 700rwhp Powerhouse Stg III -- 700 - 1000 hp @ 35psi I know this is not all of them, theirs RPS,Garett,Apexi , IHI and the list goes on. But the more you look. For every turbo kit you see for the Z, theirs 4 more for the Supra. Now, how's that work out? For the Z to hit the streets 3 years before the Supra was even around. The Z labeled as Japan's first Muscle car in the states. Just wondering what happened and why was it forgotten until now. With Nismo just coming out with 740cc injectors and JWT just programing 720's..........What's the deals after market shop???????????????????????????????.
