| thats featherweight compared to most other Z cars and i still have both leather seats and all plastic paneling in the rear. I have removed almost everything i can and replaced some things with lighter compontents. Its not going to get much lighter. And yes i know my profile hasent been updated in at least a year but im rarely on this forum any more because it seems every time i try to talk about an interesting technical topic i get lots of noob's shooting off their mouths who dont know the slightest thing about which they are talking 50-100 lbs is a bit excessive for a diffuser, im sure with some 3/32" alum sheet i could construct a decent diffuser that weighed 8-10 lbs. And if designed correctly would provide benifits that would reduce the overall drag of the car and be worth my time and efforts. Im not building the car for the 1/4 mile but just to put things into perspective a properly designed rear diffuser can lower your ETs by around .3seconds. And yeah thats not really a big deal, but think if you were running some 13.1s at 112mph and you put a diffuser on and were able to nab a 12.8 Every little bit helps and it will add up
