| technology(his name starts with a C but I can't think of it right now) and they had a lot of complaints about when shops were installing the offset pistons in the wrong direction and making noise and damaging the side walls. Like I said before...I think it was problems with shops not noticing the offset wristpin and shops using improper tolerances since we never had any probelms. Maybe since your tolerances aren't as tight as ours you were having problems with the .008" taper and needed something smaller to keep the noise down. Don't know...I just know we never had any problems the sets we have done over the last couple of years.
