I still don't understand it.
It just doesn't make sense to me.So I've been driving the Z the past two days, and I have been pussy-footing it pretty good... never exceeding 2500rpm, and never in boost... Well, today is friday and the last day I'll drive it for the rest of this month at the least. So I decide to open it up.
I south bound on a 3 lane divided highway (3 lanes north, 3 lanes south).
It is a brisk 32 degree with winds from the north with the morning sun cresting the trees to the east.
Traffic is very light with usually 3 or 4 cars infront of and behind me over a period of a mile.
So there I am cruising doing about 110... same scenario as last time when I got popped for doing 89 in a 55, same stretch of road. I'm checking gauges, watching for police, checking gauges... cruising... opening her up... stretching her legs a bit...
In the states of Illinois and Missouri, it appears that it is 100% illegal to drive in the right lane, as no one seems to drive there. This is what makes the 'cone game' so much fun... you have these moving cones in the center line and you just blissfully bounce around them like a high speed slalom... so much fun... But thats for another time... today, it was all about just cruising...
So I come up on some Redneck No Brain Missouri Asshole in the middle lane doing 60-ish. No other traffic in site for miles... no onramps to avoid, nothing. I'm doing my thing in the right lane at 110ish when I come up on the Redneck No Brain Missouri Asshole. So I check up and get speeds to about 90 or 95 to pass him slowly and safely... Just when I think I am in the clear, the Redneck No Brain Missouri Asshole decides now is a good time to move to the right lane... I had maybe 20 feet to spare... I don't know how it happened, but I managed to go two feet in with about 3 or 4 feet to spare... WHY. Why if that Redneck No Brain Missouri Asshole was so comfortable in the middle goddamn lane, would he decide to move over now? ugh...
Needless to say, I checked my mirrors... checked in front of me... shot across to the far left lane (using my blinkers duh)...passed the guy who is now in the far right lane... then shot back across (using my blinkers) to the far right lane and turned it back up.
I would like to hear from any of you ignorant, inconsiderate assholes that think you have the right to sit in the left lane, or the middle lane when there is NO traffic. Every day on the way to work on a more populated 2 lane divide highway, I see a line of 20 cars in the left lane, and no one in the right lane. They sit there doing 5 miles under the speed limit...WHY...
Please folks, even if there is NO one in site, MOVE THE FUCK OVER. (except in Arkansas, where the right lane of I-40 and I-30 is like driving down a set of steps...)
