I had a 98 GS-R, and a 93 NA Z before that... ending up selling the GS-R and buying another Z (92, still an NA). I actually have never had a problem with either Z, but had many problems with the GS-R, which had 23,xxx miles when i bought it, and sold it with just over 63k on it. It just wasn't near as fun to drive as the Z. From my experience, with both cars stock, the Z is faster, especially at high speeds, and will easily outhandle the GS-R (although it has great handling for a FWD car). Obviously, you need to make sure you're buying a good car though or you will have expensive repairs to deal with in the future. I ended up with another NA simply because there were no good TT's on the market when I needed to buy, but if you can find either one it'll be well worth it.
