Message several pages back and I am sure most missed it.....

N20 in 100 shot or less is completely safe if used properly.
The problem with N20 is improper use.

The average consumer does not know enough about the correct way to use N20 properly and the directions that come with the kits have no where near the information needed to use the kits properly.

I have been useing a 60 shot of N20 on my Z with Td05-16g turbos with 25 psi boost for over a year and a half and I play with the N20 quite offen. My engine is completely stock and the heads have never even been off.

The biggest problem with N20 is keeping the bottle pressure where you want it.
The perfect bottle pressure is 950 psi. This pressure only happens when the bottle is 85 degrees.
When the bottle temp is say 60 degrees the pressure is closer to 600 psi.
When the bottle is 100 degrees the pressure is closer to 1400 psi.

A wet N20 kit has a fuel jet and a N20 jet. The 2 jets are suppose to offer the correct fuel mixture at 950 psi.
When the bottle pressure drops the mixture becomes too rich and the N20 offers much less power. (This is still safe)
When the bottle temp goes up the mixture becomes lean
and this is when N20 becomes dangerous.

Just as an example......
I towed my Z to ZCON in texas last year with the N20 installed. When I got there it was over 110 degrees outside. My N20 was in the car in the hot sun and the bottle was much hotter then the outside temp. I opened the bottle to read my N20 pressure gauge and the pressure was over 2500 psi!
If I was to run it that way I garantee I would have blown my motor.

Here is the CRAZY part......
NOS sells the N20 systems without gauges and no where in the instructions does it say anything about bottle pressure. Most people put these systems in without a pressure gauge because they do not know enough about how it works and the kits do not come with gauges.
This is why you here of people blowing up motors.

The other thing that people need to know is that running very much N20 is much like turning the boost up higher and you need higher octane fuel for safe operation.

These are the 2 main things about N20 that cause problems. Myself and many others have been very happy with N20 and have not had any problems because we have used it properly and made sure the correct pressure and fuel octane were used.

I do no people that have hurt their motors but they did not have a pressure gauge on the system and they were useing 91 octane fuel. When the people I know of had problems is was on hot days and they had no idea what the bottle pressure was.

N20 is safe and is loads of fun, But you need to know a few basic things about how to use it.

Low bottle pressure is easy to deal with because you can buy a bottle heater with a thermostatic switch to turn it off at 85 degrees. When it is hot outside it is a little more difficult and normally you need to ice the bottle to bring the temps down.
