And there are some things the E-manage can do that the zemulator can't: the zemulator cannot use a MAP sensor. the zemulator cannot compensate for BOVs. zemulator does not have real-time map trace. zemulator cannot control additional injectors. etc.
The zemulator cannot do many of these things because it is restricted by the ecu program code; the zemulator doesn't change any of the procedural codes, only the data tables... on the other hand, the e-manage as an external product can introduce its own logic.
Again I am not discussing which product is better, I have no experience with the zemulator... I'll leave the discussion to someone with the knowledge and experience and who has tried both products... all I am saying is it is unfair to call the e-manage a POS and that a good tuner can do everything he needs to with the piggy-back. For what it is worth, most of the high hp cars in Japan use piggy-backs or standalones, despite the fact that there are emulators and chip programmers available in Japan for MANY years now; the zemulator is nothing new nor revolutionary...
