But given that my shop has used them for 5+ years in
daily drivers, road race cars, and anything in between with
no problems......and... the construction is so similar to the factory filter... ...there's no downside to using them. Keep in mind that a lot of people have an attitude that you
HAVE to use one or the other or you're going to kill your
engine. THis is not true, most of the filters I've seen are
adequate....the only one that I'd flat out not use
is the Fram with it's crappy filter medium, poor flow, and cardboard internal construction. Given that I get the Nippons dirt cheap I've got no reason to
switch to something else or sweat my decision to use it.
