Message	direct tv/satellite + local over-the-air service. = great choice. cable HD (available in most areas now) + local over-the-air service. my *biggest* beef with satellite and digital cable is the 2 to 5 second black screen pause between channels (surfing), and the horribly slow 'tv-guide' scanning. (and the cable box locking up on digital cable) If I were to do it, I'd go with regular analog cable and over the air HDTV. Also, if you are viewing HD for movies, just get a good progressive DVD player with compnent out... you will barely be able to tell the difference between HD and DVD (if at all). *IMHO*
