Message Not that anyone cares, but here goes my 2003 story:

-Totaled my TT Thanksgiving day 2002, so I started 2003 without a car and ended up buying one in early Feb.

-My Dad was laid off from IBM in March so he bridged to retirement and retired in April. Right as he was set to retire he had some back pain and found out he had problems with a kidney. Fortunately it wasn't cancerous, but he did have to have it removed. He has fully recovered and doesn't really have to alter his lifestyle.

-I was laid off in June from my job. I'm not close to retiring and the job market for marketing folks in Atlanta was rough for much of the year, so I spent half of the year looking for a job. Started with a software company 12/10, which is a big relief.

-Had a medical scare in Nov. in my man-regions. Fortunately, no cancer and no surgery planned as a regiment of medication should fix everything.

-The Thanksgiving tradition continued in that dinner was scrapped again this year. Kim (my wife) had thrown up blood a couple times and had to go to the ER Monday before Thanksgiving. I was at an interview so I didn't know this until I was driving home. They ran tests and released her that evening, but she had to go to a Gastroenterologist (sp?). Went to the Gastrodoc the Wed before T-day and he sent us across the street to have and endoscopy done. Results are class 4 ulcers in her esophygus. She has to be scoped every 3 months for the next two years to ensure improvement and have a biopsy done and make some lifestyle changes, but nothing too bad now if the tests keep coming back negative.

Because of all of this, I still don't have a "fun" car and have really been out of the loop with the local Z guys. Financially we are starting to recover after some time without income, but I'm really glad 2003 ended on a good note. With everything that has gone on and the fact that none of the worst-case medical stuff happend, I'm not complaining as I know things could be much worse.

Resolutions:
-be healthier
-get a "fun" car (if not a real car, maybe a nitro RC will have to do)
-have fun

That's all

'90 Pearl White TT
JWT POP Charger

Z is Totaled

I now drive a '99.5 A4 2.8Q, silver, stock, but begging to be lowered.
