One company's has the "safest" high octane maps, but less HP, another has the most HP high octane maps, but not the safest. I try to split the difference, maybe lose a few HP, but slightly safer. I will not even go into the low octane maps, everyone has their opinion on that matter, but mine are different than my high octane maps, as are my 5th gear maps. For the customer that constantly monitors everything and keeps their car running at optimal levels, they can get by with a more aggressive tune. In that case I tell the customer that they can advance the CAS by a degree or two.
