Message When you lower the boost it has the same effect as backing off the throttle and will stop detonation.
Backing only off timing when detonation is occuring is dangerous when not reducing boost level and is why JWT does not do it.
This is not grabbing at straws.....This is what working with JWT for 13 years and working on cars for 22 years has taught me.
I guess we will have to agree to disagree.
I have nothing to gain from this and do not want to debate you on it, But the way you come off requires a responce (Shrug)
I only replyed to this thread because of the incorrect guess that was made about JWT programing.

:doesn't apply just because the boost is higher? That's completely nuts. The stock ECU also dumps more fuel and lowers timing in its safety maps as well, it doesn't just lower boost.
:You're grabbing straws here Greg, and I thought you weren't going to debate. I'm right on this, and I actually was expecting not to see you respond or perhaps in favor of being incorrect.
:I'm not taking you head to head on this just to 'fight with Greg', but rather it was simply Greg who put forth an incorrect statement of which I firmly stand to correct.
:(banter mode: off) Now I will no longer debate.
