Message	That where the timing is at is really irrelevant to this discussion. You gave the impression that you can run higher EGTs *if* you vary the timing. That is totally incorrect. Tune EGTs by changing boost, timing, A/F, whatever...The BOTTOM line is that you should not allow an EGT guage to read above the numbers nicholas gave above, timing tweaked or not.
